Historically insurance companies have been fairly consistent with their regulations and standards, who they serve and what they can offer. In the last two years, the industry has suddenly changed from that staple consistency to constant change. Before we met annually as a company to review changes in insurance companies, which companies were accepting which type of customers, etc. To now we have weekly calls to get updates on the same information because companies are changing that rapidly.
Risk Tolerance
Insurance companies have recognized because of the rising cost of everything that their risk tolerance is not where it used to be. I am sure you and everyone has heard about insurance companies entirely stopping taking customers of certain lines, suddenly dropping customers that have been with them for extended periods of times simply because as an organization they can’t afford to pay out the values of those policies. They simply cannot risk it.
The Future is Not All Gloom and Doom
We are still proud to say that we work with a variety of great companies that offer a variety of solutions for our customers. This has not changed. Though the company may have changed, we can still service most.
